FAQ
If you have more questions send us an email at [email protected] or send a message on the main telegram chat
1. What is Legacy Protocol?
Legacy Protocol is a fully on-chain, non-custodial inheritance solution that allows users to securely pass on their base tokens to a designated wallet (Wallet 2) in the event of wallet loss, inactivity, or forgotten credentials. It’s built to offer a fail-safe for crypto holders with peace of mind and full control.
2. How does the inheritance process work? (for both immediate and time-locked)
Wallet 1 connects to the DApp and selects Wallet 2 as the inheritor.
**If time locked, the user sets an inactivity timer (30, 60, 90, or 120 days) or chooses Immediate Inheritance.
Wallet 1 grants base allowances to Wallet 2 for selected tokens.
If Wallet 1 is inactive for the defined period, Wallet 2 can trigger the
inherit()
function and claim the tokens.
3. What tokens are supported?
Only base tokens are currently supported. EVM will come soon, as well as Solana, as per phase 3 of the roadmap.
4. Is the platform custodial?
Legacy is fully non-custodial. Your funds remain in your wallet. The smart contract only facilitates transfers based on conditions you control.
5. What happens if Wallet 1 becomes active again?
If Wallet 1 performs any on-chain activity (like a transaction), the inactivity timer is not going to be reset, the timer goes on until it comes to an end, and then you can claim.
6. Can I cancel or change my inheritance settings?
Yes. You can revoke allowances, change Wallet 2, or update your inactivity period at any time directly through the DApp interface.
7. Is the inheritance logic secure?
Yes. The entire process is enforced via transparent and auditable smart contracts. No external backends or intermediaries are involved.
8. What is the $LGCY Token and how does it work?
$LGCY is the native token of the protocol. It powers the ecosystem, supports development, and enables incentives for users and partners.
Supply: 1M Max
Network: base (Uniswap v3)
Taxes: 0% Buy/Sell Tax
9. Where can I buy $LGCY?
You can purchase $LGCY on UniSwapV3 using base. A direct buy button is available on our website for convenience.
10. What are the security measures in place?
Liquidity Locked
Ownership: Renounced
Team Tokens: Vested for long-term alignment
All contracts are transparent and auditable on-chain.
11. How does the Partnership Program work?
Our Partnership Program allocates a % of the total token supply and a dedicated ETH reward pool for community-driven growth:
Up to 0.7–0.2 ETH per verified promo (threads, articles, collaborations).
Valid submissions include:
Threads or posts from Twitter accounts (10k+ followers)
Articles on major exchanges or media outlets
Co-announced partnerships with other crypto projects
Submit through our DApp or official form with proof and links.

PROMOTIONAL PROGRAM12. Can I inherit NFTs through Legacy?
Yes. NFT inheritance (ERC-721 support) is part of Phase 3 and will allow Wallet 1 to designate NFTs to specific addresses with the same logic used for tokens.
13. What if I lose access to Wallet 2?
You can update your inheritance address (Wallet 2) at any time by reconnecting Wallet 1 and reconfiguring settings. You must do this before the inheritance is triggered.
14. Is there a fee to use the DApp?
Legacy is built to be low-cost. You’ll only pay standard gas fees and no additional platform fees. However, interacting with the smart contract (like calling inherit()
) may incur a small cost depending on network congestion.
