Modes of Inheritance

To note before referring to the inheritance modes

  • ETH Not Included:

ETH (native coin) cannot be inherited in this version, since it doesn’t support allowances

However, tokens like USDT, USDC, DAI, and others can be inherited safely

  • EVM and other chains to be eligable in the future

For now the platform will function with BASE exclusively. As per roadmap, phase 3, other chains will be released over time

How its used:

  1. Choose Inheritance Plan

Select between an Immediate Plan (assets can be claimed anytime) or a Time-Based Plan (inheritor can claim only after a set inactivity period).

  2. Select Tokens & Approve Transfers

Pick which tokens to include in your plan and give smart contract approval to transfer them later under the conditions you define.

  3. Assign Your Inheritor

Enter the wallet address of your chosen inheritor (Wallet 2). You can assign multiple inheritances if needed.

  4. Hold $LGCY to Activate

Make sure your wallet holds the required minimum $LGCY token balance to activate and keep your inheritance plan live.

Key Benefits:

Fully non-custodial (you stay in control of your funds)

No middlemen or external backend

Inheritance logic is fully on-chain and transparent

Simple setup and low gas cost
